Olivia Rodrigo foi a grande vencedora dos Billboard Music Awards 2022

A entrega de prémios aconteceu ontem, 15 de maio, em Las Vegas, Estados Unidos. Os nomes de metade dos premiados foram revelados na plataforma TikTok e a outra metade na emissão da norte-americana NBC. A jovem Olivia Rodrigo foi a artista que somou mais estatuetas. A cantora foi reconhecida com sete prémios entre os quais o de Artista Revelação, Melhor Artista Feminina e o prémio Artista Top Hot. 

O polémico Kanye West foi galardoado com seis troféus e a rapper Doja Cat com quatro. O canadiano The Weeknd era o artista mais nomeado, com 17 nomeações, mas foi premiado apenas na categoria Melhor Artista Masculino de R&B. Justin Bieber, que estava indicado em 13 categorias, ganhou cinco prémios.

Os Billboard Music Awards tiveram Diddy como anfitrião e contaram com atuações de Ed Sheeran, Megan Thee Stallion, Silk Sonic, Burna Boy, Florence + The Machine, Machine Gun Kelly, Morgan Wallen e Travis Scott, entre outros.

A atribuição dos prémios da Billboard é baseada na soma de fatores como os números de streaming, os airplays de rádio, as vendas e o sucesso nas redes sociais.
